Coffee gift sets, explained: what is inside and how to give one

A coffee gift set is a ready-to-give box of coffee chosen around a theme, so the giver makes one easy decision and the recipient still gets something that feels considered. We Are Coffee Co offers three: Around the World (three single-origin speciality coffees at three roast levels), Crafted Classic Blends (three balanced multi-origin blends), and the Flavoured Coffee Collection (salted caramel, biscotti and vanilla). Each is three 227g bags, small-batch roasted in Glasgow, presented in a gift sleeve at no extra cost, with a gift message option at checkout.

This page explains what is inside each set, how they are presented, and how delivery and timing work, so you can buy with confidence. If you would rather jump straight to picking the right one for a particular person, our coffee gift guide walks through the choice by recipient.

What is a coffee gift set?

A coffee gift set bundles a clear theme, several bags of coffee and gift presentation into a single purchase. Instead of guessing one specific coffee, you choose a set built around an idea, such as exploring origins or leaning into sweeter, flavoured cups. The recipient then has three coffees to enjoy rather than one, which makes the gift feel generous without asking you to know their exact taste.

Our sets are designed so the giver does not need to know the recipient's grinder, favourite origin or usual roast. That is the whole point of a set: it removes the risk from buying coffee for someone else.

The three sets, and what is inside each

Around the World is the speciality route. It contains an Ethiopian light roast natural, a Brazilian medium roast natural and an Indonesian dark roast Giling Basah: three single-origin coffees that each clear our SCA 84+ speciality bar, lined up across light, medium and dark so the recipient can taste the difference roast level makes.

Crafted Classic Blends is the everyday route. It is a set of three balanced multi-origin blends built for repeatable, comforting flavour rather than single-origin exploration. It suits the practical coffee drinker who wants a reliable cup every morning.

The Flavoured Coffee Collection is the treat route: salted caramel, biscotti and vanilla. These are chosen for flavour and fun, not for a cupping score, so we describe them as real coffee with natural flavour rather than as speciality grade. They suit someone who likes a sweeter, more playful cup, hot or iced.

What comes in every set

Every active set contains three 227g bags, presented in a gift sleeve at no extra cost, with the option to add a personal gift message at checkout. Each set also includes a QR insert card that helps the recipient set up an account and start earning loyalty points, so the person receiving the gift, not just the person buying it, has an easy route back to the coffee they enjoyed.

Whole beans or ground?

Around the World and Crafted Classic Blends come as whole beans, ground for cafetiere, or ground for espresso. The Flavoured Coffee Collection comes as whole beans or omni grind, which is one all-purpose ground format rather than a separate grind for each brew method. If the recipient owns a grinder, whole beans give them the most flexibility. If they brew one way and want convenience, choose the matching ground option where it is offered.

Which set suits which person?

In short: Around the World for the curious explorer, Crafted Classic Blends for the dependable everyday drinker, and the Flavoured Coffee Collection for someone who likes a sweeter, treat-like cup. For a fuller walk-through by recipient and occasion, see the coffee gift guide. You can also browse every set in the coffee gift sets collection.

One honest caveat: a gift set is a great choice when you are not sure of someone's exact taste, but if you already know they only ever drink, say, strong dark espresso, a single bag of that specific coffee may delight them more than a themed trio. Sets are the safe, generous default, not the only good answer.

Delivery and timing

Gift sets are a one-off order, so standard UK delivery applies, and delivery is free when you spend over £30. Because everything is roasted in small batches to order, allow a little lead time in busy gifting periods such as Christmas: order earlier rather than on the final posting day so the coffee arrives fresh and on time. If you want the gift to keep giving, a coffee subscription is a flexible alternative the recipient manages themselves, with free delivery on subscription orders over £15.

Corporate and bulk gifting

Coffee gift sets also work well as client thank-yous, team gifts and seasonal corporate presents, where a considered, ready-to-give box lands better than a generic hamper. For larger or repeat orders, or for bulk gifting with a consistent presentation, get in touch and we can help you plan quantities and timing. We keep corporate references generic and do not name accounts publicly.
