Espresso Blend

Espresso Blend is a medium roast coffee combining flame-roasted arabica and robusta beans from Brazil, Guatemala and India, blended and roasted in small batches in Glasgow by We Are Coffee Co. This blend is designed specifically for espresso — the robusta provides thick crema and body, while the arabica brings flavour complexity with notes of chocolate, almond, soft stone fruit and hints of spice.

Crafting a great espresso blend is about balance. We combine beans from three distinct origins — Brazilian for body and chocolate sweetness, Guatemalan for acidity and fruit, and Indian robusta for crema and depth — then roast to a medium level that extracts the best from each. Scoring 87.5 on the SCA scale, this is one of our highest-rated coffees. At around 57p per cup, it's speciality espresso at an everyday price.
